What info we need
To sign up, click the "join" button on the #Artcrossing homepage. Please include the following information with your join request or it will be declined.
- Your name
- Your address (including country) (please read note at bottom)
- Your profile - a little bit about yourself and your interests (see below). The people sending gifts to you will NOT be given your deviantART ID so this is where they will get their clues about what sort of person you are and therefore what they could make for you!
What's a "profile"?
Please read this profile guide before sending your application. It should give you lots of ideas! If your profile is too vague you might end up having to rewrite it anyway, so best to do it all in one go
- If you're pushed for time, just read the "the basics" and "address" sections, they're the only critical bits for now.
- If you're really pushed for time, read the "address" section (at the bottom) and then create your profile by answering the questions in the "Out of ideas?" section - that will get you up and running fastest.
- If you have enough time, read the whole thing - making your profile the best it can be helps you to receive gifts really tailored to it
As soon as we've had a chance to check all of this, your application will be accepted. Once it has been accepted you can start sending art!
A note about addresses
Please check the Universal Postal Union's recommendation for how to write your address correctly for international mail! If you don't give your address correctly, it may not arrive - or it might be returned and the sender would have to pay postage twice
